The “Arnold Newman: Masterclass,”exhibition at
the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco features more than 200 vintage black and white photographs taken
by Arnold Newman, one of the 20thcentury’s most influential portrait
photographers in a career that spanned 70 years.
His subjects included Truman Capote, Salvador Dali, Pablo
